Background

In a huge metropolitan city, Utkarsh, the founder of a multi-billion dollar empire, Crispy Syndicate finds himself in a confusing position. He needs a new designer for his company and has decided to test you for the same. In the world of design, trends often come full circle. The 1970s and 1980s were vibrant decades characterized by bold typography, striking colour palettes, and iconic visual elements that left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape. Utkarsh seeks to celebrate the charm and nostalgia of these eras by testing you to step back in time and infuse modern brands with the unmistakable vibes of the past.

Task

Your mission is to bridge the gap between the contemporary and the nostalgic. Select a modern brand and transform its visual identity to reflect the aesthetic and cultural essence of the 1970s and 1980s. You can choose companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, PlayStation, Tesla, Nvidia, etc. However, these are not binding and just mere suggestions. You are free to use any company of your choice.

This involves a deep dive into the retro design language. The goal is to maintain the brand's core identity and values while infusing it with retro elements, creating a unique and compelling fusion that speaks to both old and new generations

Software preferred: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Note: Usage of any pre-made design from the internet or using AI to create designs is strictly prohibited. Projects made on online websites such as Canva also won’t be accepted.
