Task 1

Task 2

The H.C.E.T Syndicate embarks on a mission to upgrade workstations across its 1500 corporate offices. With a calculated budget, each employee is slated to receive a $500 machine. The majority of employees work in creative fields and utilize Blender for 3D modelling.

Task 3

The H.C.E.T Syndicate sets out to modernize its IT infrastructure by adopting Arch Linux as the main operating system across its 1500 corporate offices. However, due to specific constraints, the "archinstall" command cannot be used. It's a test of their technical skills and problem-solving as they install Arch Linux manually.

• Install Arch Linux without using the "archinstall" command in a virtual machine. [80 points]

Task 4

As the H.C.E.T Syndicate completes the installation of Arch Linux across its corporate offices, the IT department faces the next challenge of optimizing the system for graphic-intensive tasks and then testing them.

Task 5

After a long day of upgrading workstations, craving entertainment, and spotting an old Windows machine, we decided to experiment. Using only the command line in WSL2, we tried to play a YouTube video.

• Stream a clip from The Big Bang Theory from Youtube in the terminal via mplayer in WSL2 and set a custom timestamp to get to Sheldon Cooper saying, “Bazinga!”. [30 points]
